Results of the Warner Robins Cigarette Litter Prevention Program were reported this week following cigarette litter scans of downtown Warner Robins conducted as part of the Keep America Beautiful® Cigarette Litter Prevention Program.
That's according to a Keep Warner Robins Beautiful news release.
In its second year with the program, Keep Warner Robins Beautiful noted a 14% reduction in cigarette butt litter throughout the target area of North Davis Drive, Prince Street, and Duke Avenue.
“This program allows us to make improvements in our effort to help reduce litter. Simple actions like providing outdoor containers for cigarettes and distributing pocket ashtrays have made a difference in decreasing litter in our target areas,” said Regina Palladeno.
