Yes, you read it right. There is a group of ladies from Pulaski, Bleckley, Dodge, Houston, Bibb and Twiggs counties who will be going streakin' from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 9, and what a sight that will be.
Streakin' with pink in their hair as they take a stand against breast cancer during breast cancer awareness month.
Crystal Jackson Bambrough, owner and operator of CryStyle's Salon in Cochran, is sponsoring the event for the second year in a row. “We will be putting pink streaks in everyone's hair to celebrate breast cancer awareness month. The streaks cost $10 and the money raised will be donated to a local woman who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, and is in the middle of treatments and surgeries.” There will be light refreshments and other gifts available for purchase, and the first 25 breast cancer survivors will receive a “special little gift.”
