This heart-warming one-act play is an adaptation of best-selling author Robert Fulgham’s books, by Ernest Zulia, with music and lyrics by David Caldwell.  It combines comedy, drama, music and storytelling with lessons and insights into growing up and understanding life.

No reserved seating is offered for this production.

'The Suitcase Lady' to Give Talk at Macon State

'The Suitcase Lady' to Give Talk at Macon State

Jennifer O’Kelley - known as "The Suitcase Lady" - will deliver a talk at Macon State College that centers on a suitcase full of 19th century letters that she found in the basement of her Macon home. It holds stories of heroes, heroines, rascals, and scalawags - people who were living extraordinary lives during some of the most divisive times in our nation's history. The story in the old black suitcase is an engrossing as a fine novel.

O'Kelley will make two appearances at the college: 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in the Arts Complex Theater on the Macon Campus, and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the Warner Robins Campus Auditorium. Sponsored by the Macon State Honors Program.

This event is free and open to the public.

Kohl's Hires More Employees for Holidays

Kohl’s Department Stores today announced it anticipates hiring more than 40,000 associates nationwide this holiday season, up approximately five percent from last year due to store growth in 2011.

That's according to a Kohl's Department Stores news release.

That's an average of 35 associates per store, Public Relations Coordinator Erin Kelbe says.

Kelbe couldn't say how many associates Kohl's in  Warner Robins or Macon would hire.

However,  we found store management positions posted for Macon and Warner Robins here.

Kohl’s is bringing on additional associates to provide shoppers with excellent customer service throughout the holiday season.
