Reclaiming Ground will host a free anti-bullying event sponsored by Dr. Johnny Gayton of Eyesight Associates, Saturday, April 2, 11 a.m. to 4p.m., at Johnny G’s Fun Center.

That's according to a news release.

The ‘Be a Buddy, Not a Bully’ event highlights include a symposium featuring Dr. Gayton as the keynote speaker, and a discussion and a ‘feats of strength’ performance by Willie Raines, C.E.O. of Reclaiming Ground, Incorporated. Activities are designed to bring a keener awareness to bullying behavior and prevention.

Bullying can take many forms and has become a major local and national problem potentially jeopardizing the lifeblood of the community-our youth. Speakers will make special mention of cyber bullying.  According to cyber bullying statistics from the i-SAFE foundation, more than 1 in 3 young people have experienced cyber threats online.
