HOUSTON COUNTY, GA - Mossy Creek Middle School will hold two special programs on Sept. 17, 2012.  At 7:45 a.m., Constitution Day will be observed.  Students will hear Judge Bob Turner speak about the Bill of Rights and how it applies to young people.

Immediately following this assembly around 8:30 a.m., there will be a memorial ceremony for India Collins.  The Collins family will be in attendance.  Principal Andy Gentry will present them with a few gifts and then show them a stone memorial and special tree.  Mossy Creek Middle has a large stone to memorialize students who have passed; India’s name has been added to the stone.  A Weeping Willow has also been planted in her memory.

Mossy Creek Middle is located at 200 Danny Carpenter Drive in Kathleen.  Principal Gentry may be reached at 478-988-6171.  To cover these stories, please sign in at the front office for a visitor’s pass and escort to the gym.
