Shutdown: What's Open, What's Not At Robins AFB

Robins AFB projects the following activities on base will be affected by the shutdown:

Traffic Advisory: Airplane Escort Down Watson Blvd.

Traffic Advisory: Airplane Escort Down Watson Blvd.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at approximately 9:00 A.M. officers will be escorting a T-33 jet airplane that was removed from the front of the Recreation Department down Watson Boulevard, proceeding to Vietnam Veteran’s Parkway.  The escort will begin at South Young Avenue. All but one eastbound lane will be closed when the escort approaches traffic.  The plane escort will travel west down Watson Boulevard.  Traffic will resume as normal once the plane escort passes.  There is not an estimated timeframe for the length of the escort.  Motorists on the road at this time are asked to use caution and expect some traffic delays.

If you wear full pirate attire, then you get one dozen free glazed doughnuts. The offer stands on International Talk Like a Pirate Day, September 19, according to a release.
