Day 3 of 13 Days of Giving: Twilight Moms

Day 3 of 13 Days of Giving: Twilight Moms

Twilight Moms of Middle Georgia is a non-profit group that was formed in 2009 to bring together Moms (women who are over 21, married or have children) who are fans of the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer.

They not only enjoy meeting and sharing enthusiasm for this series but love helping local and national charities while having fun.

How You Can Help:
Twilight Moms will have an event on Dec. 3 from 10 p.m.-Midnight at the Galleria in Centerville.  Twilight Moms will celebrate the release of Eclipse on DVD but will also have several fundraisers during the event.  They will have a Cookies for Kids with Cancer bake sale, will collect items for Christmas for the Children’s Hospital and will also collect canned food items for Monroe County EMS.

Contact the Twilight Moms of Middle Georgia by e-mailing cindyadrien@twilightmomsofmiddlega.com or call 478-951-4311.

We'll have more on 13WMAZ Eyewitness News.

Benefit Breakfast for Cancer Patient's Wish

Sarah Kinsaul is a bubbly 6-year-old whose favorite color is pink and enjoys writing and coloring.  In March Sarah was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a type of bone and soft tissue cancer.  She has endured several rounds of chemotherapy and surgeries to remove part of her upper thigh in effort to get rid of the cancer. Sarah also has a wish to go to the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida.

In partnership with Kid’s Wish Network the Warner Robins Police Department is teaming up with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office to make Sarah’s wish come true.

Both agencies are hosting a Benefit Breakfast at FATZ Café on Watson Boulevard on November 20 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. to raise money for Sarah’s Disney World wish.  Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage links, maple syrup, butter and a choice of coffee, tea, orange juice or milk.  Tickets are $7.00.
