Robin A. Meyers

Robin A. Meyers, 54, entered into rest on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

Ms. Meyers was born on December 6, 1956 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was employed by the Carl Vinson VA Hospital in Dublin, Georgia, working in civil service in administration. Her parents, Sheldon Meyers and Irene Karesh Meyers, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons, Chris Martinet, Dublin, and Justin Martinet, Prattville, Alabama; grandchildren, Ethan Sheldon, Alyssa and Alec Martinet; and brothers, Allen, Curtis and Kenneth Meyers.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road #359, Macon GA 31210.

Robert J. Holderfield

TSgt Robert J. Holderfield, US Army Vet, active member of the 20 2nd E.I.S. Georgia Air National Guard, Macon, Georgia, USAF Ready Reserve, 51, entered into rest on Monday, July 4, 2011.

Robert was born on June 20, 1960 in Galax, Virginia. He cherished God and was a member of Full Gospel Church of Warner Robins where he was a Sunday School Teacher. Robert was a devoted father and loving husband. He was an outdoorsman, and he loved the mountains and fishing. His parents, Frank and Sarah Holderfield, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Mi Yong Holderfield, Bonaire; son, Ethan Taeyang Holderfield; and brother, Columbus Holderfield.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Full Gospel Church of Warner Robins, 105 Wisconsin Avenue, Warner Robins, GA 31093. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 on July 7, 2011 at Full Gospel Church of Warner Robins. Burial will be private. 

Billy Gene Edenfield

Billy Gene Edenfield, 74, entered into rest on Sunday, July 3, 2011.

Mr. Edenfield was born on June 8, 1937 in Metter, Georgia. He graduated in 1959 from the University of Georgia as a distinguished military graduate and was awarded a B. S. degree in Management. In 1978, he earned a M.S. degree in Personnel Management from Troy State University. In the United States Air Force, he completed the Institute of Technology Education with Industry, Squadron Officers School, Air Command and Staff College, the Industrial College of the Armed Forces by seminar with the United States Army, and the Air War College in-residence at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

Woody G. Hudgens Jr.

Woody G. Hudgens Jr.

Woody G. Hudgens, Jr., 45, entered into rest on June 9, 2011. Woody was born on May 8, 1966 in Macon, Georgia. He was a 1984 graduate of Gilead Christian Academy, a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Georgia Tactical Officer's Association. Woody served seventeen years at the Warner Robins Police Department as a member of the S.W.A.T. team and as a bicycle officer before joining the Centerville Police Department three years ago. In Centerville, he worked as a patrol sergeant, a bicycle officer, and a certified police instructor with a specialization in defensive tactics. Woody loved his church, his family, and his community. A cyclist, he rode his bicycle across the state of Georgia for six years in a row, raising funds for the Special Olympics. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Beverly Jo Couture Hudgens, Davenport, Florida; parents, Woodfin G.

Milledgeville – Rebecca “Beckie” Skipper Purvis, age 48, entered into rest Saturday, May 28, 2011. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 6 PM in Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Cochran.

Beckie was born August 10, 1962 to the late Reba Floyd Mullis and D.W. Skipper.

Survivors are her daughter, Rebecca (Beth) Heddleson; her life partner, Becky Sorrow; sister, Jessica Anderson; brothers, Ronnie Mullis and Stebo Mullis.

Theodore L. Runge


Macon- Mr. Theodore L. Runge embarked on his journey with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 11 after several years of declining health.

Mr. Runge was proud of his military service to his country and was retired from Robins Air Force Base after more than thirty years. Teddie enjoyed tinkering around home, “standing” his political ground and learning and sharing his Christian faith. In most recent years, he was continuously accompanied by his canine buddy, Max.

Mr. Runge is predeceased by his wife of more than forty years, Dorothy Kennedy Runge. Hamilton and Monte want to thank the Bolingreen Nursing and Rehab staff, and particularly nurse station 5, for their tremendous and precious care during the last two years.

There will be a private interment at Northview Cemetery in Dublin, Georgia. The family requests any donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory.
