Ron Bryant

Ron Bryant, 62, entered into rest on Saturday, July 16, 2011.

Mr. Bryant was born on October 12, 1948 in Morrilton, Arkansas. He was a charter member of Houston Lake Presbyterian Church and a ruling Elder. With pride and honor, Mr. Bryant served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years. In 1992, he retired from Robins Air Force Base as the Chief of Supply. He received his Bachelors Degree from West Georgia College and Masters Degree from Troy State. He worked as a teacher at Houston County High School for nine years, and then as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker SSK for ten years. His parents Carl and Mary Bryant preceded him in death.

Judith E. Coleman

Judith E. Coleman, 61, entered into rest on Sunday, July 17, 2011.

Mrs. Coleman was born on August 25, 1949 in Oneonta, New York. She was a member of Parkway Assembly of God Church. Judith was a self-employed Caregiver. She was also a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved collecting Angels and enjoyed arts and crafts. Her parents, and her granddaughter, Hannah Gibson, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of twenty two years, William P. Coleman, Byron; children, Tracy Warren, Jennifer Gibson (Reverend Le); Kenneth Lisberg, Stephen Coleman (Becky), Mandie Evans (Troy), Christi Walthall (Robbie), and Heather-Ann Coleman; grandchildren, Brittany Giddens, Phillip Giddens, Brad Coleman, Elim Gibson, Moriah Gibson, Caleb Walthall, Ashlyn Ivie, Davin Gaskins, Bryce Gaskins, and Emmi Gaskins; brother, Gary Jahnke (Janice), and sister, Connie Lockerby.

Calvin Simpson Jr.

Calvin Simpson, Jr., 55, entered into rest on Thursday, July 14, 2011.

Mr. Simpson was born on July 26, 1955 in Bessemer, Alabama, and was a retired Item Manager in civil service from Robins Air Force Base. With great pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Harley Owners Group. Calvin loved his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and the friends he made riding it. He was a generous and compassionate man who never met a stranger. A devout family man, he would sacrifice anything for his family. He loved his mother and always sought to please and protect her. Calvin lived life to the fullest and never took himself too seriously. His church home was First Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama. His father, Calvin Simpson, Sr., preceded him in death.

Scott Richard Duff

Scott Richard Duff, Sr., 52, entered into rest on Sunday, July 10, 2011.

Mr. Duff, born June 21, 1959 in Lowell, Massachusetts, was a retired truck driver from Nichols Trucking Company. His mother, Noreen Cypher Duff, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his son, Scott Richard Duff, Jr.; daughter, Laurie Duff; granddaughter, Violette Ottaviani; all of West Wareham, Massachusetts; father, George Duff, Warner Robins; sisters, Terry Sabet, Warner Robins, and Robin Bahnemann, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Services will be private. 

John Anthony Oakes

John Anthony (Tony) Oakes, 51, entered into rest on July 14, 2011.

Tony was born on March 26, 1960 in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a 1978 graduate of Warner Robins High School, and was an employee of the City of Warner Robins. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Mr. Oakes was a member of several organizations including the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Southeastern Cherokee Confederacy, and the Moose Lodge. His parents, Samuel L. Oakes and Eunice Harper Oakes preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Alcena "Alli" Oakes, Warner Robins; sons, Anthony Lee Torres "TJ" Oakes; Richard Joseph Oakes; Christopher Nathan Wood; Brandi Danielle Wood, all of Warner Robins; and siblings, Lillian O. Self, Warner Robins; Mary O. (Marvin) Fowler, Haynesville; Pearl O. (Pat) Stone, Byron, and William M. Oakes, Byron.

Richard William Grundy

Richard William Grundy, 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

Mr. Grundy was born on April 11, 1934 in Minocqua, Wisconsin. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith. Major Grundy retired from the United States Air Force where he participated in the Vietnam Indochina conflict. After his prestigious military career he worked as a Certified Public Accountant. He was an avid golfer and truly enjoyed spending time with his family. His parents, George Grundy and Myrtle Beck Grundy, both preceded him in death.

Clifford E. French

Clifford E. French, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2011.

Mr. French was born on January 8, 1942 in Dry Fork, Virginia. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he was Minister of Senior Adults. Cliff was a Minister for fifty two years; he pastored Pride Baptist Church in Pride, Louisiana; Denham Road Baptist Church in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana; Third Street Baptist Church in Cordele; and Crossroads Baptist Church in Perry. A faithful servant of the Lord, he was also a Regional Vice President of Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. His parents, Willie Boyd French and Edith Starling French, both preceded him in death.
