Myrtle Eileen Connolly

Myrtle Eileen Connolly, 80, entered into rest on Sunday, September 30, 2012.

Mrs. Connolly was born on June 15, 1932 in Findlay, Ohio. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Mrs. Connolly was active in Prison Ministry, Women's Aglow and Weight Watchers Association. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was eager to serve others and always put other's needs above her own.

Gladys Johnson Duke

Gladys Johnson Duke, 87, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

Mrs. Duke was born on June 2, 1925 in Covington, Georgia. She retired from Wal-Mart after nineteen years as a Retail Merchandiser and enjoyed her later years as a wonderful homemaker.

Ronald Dean Carbon, USAF (Ret)

Ronald Dean Carbon, 57, entered into rest on Thursday, September 27, 2012.

Ronald was born on October 23, 1954 in Newton, Kansas. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Colonel Carbon proudly retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-one years of dedicated service to his country. Subsequent to his military career, he served as director of the 21st Century Partnership during the 2005 BRAC.

Mary Elizabeth Link Chamberlain

Mary Elizabeth Link Chamberlain, 91, entered into rest on Monday, October 1, 2012.

Mrs. Chamberlain was born on November 30, 1920 in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile and went to work for several years at Brookley Field. She later moved to Warner Robins where she became a devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Her husband, Willie Gray Chamberlain; and her parents, Charles J.

Robert E. "Bob" Young

Robert E. "Bob" Young, 83, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012.

Bob was born on May 24, 1929 in Macon, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in both the United States Army and Navy during the time of the Korean Conflict. Having worked at Fincher's Barbecue in Macon when he was younger, he became inspired to open his own business in Warner Robins by the name of Young's Barbeque which was located on Davis Drive. He and his wife owned the business from 1957 until 1974.

Johnnie Elizabeth Graham

Johnnie Elizabeth Graham, 77, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 3, 2012.

Mrs. Graham was born in 1934 in Rhine, Georgia to the late Johnny and Jewell (Brown) McCranie. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, John H. Graham, her eldest son, Ray, grandson, Christopher, and her son-in-love, David Barnett. Liz was schooled in Dodge County where she played basketball as a member of the division champions, the "Cosmettes," receiving a trophy for most points scored in a game.

Henry H. Woodward

 

Henry H. Woodward, age 99, of 211 North Sixth Street, Vienna, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at his residence. Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Lucious L. Woodward and Mary Fenn Woodward. He retired from Buff-Morgan Chevrolet where he was a bookkeeper. Mr. Woodward was a member of Vienna United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the James Thomas Woodward Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans in Warner Robins.
