Zoye Marie Downey Lowery, 73, entered into rest on Sunday, July 24, 2011.

Mrs. Lowery was born on October 4, 1937 in Mobile, Alabama. She was a former Paraprofessional for Houston County Board of Education. Her church home was Central Baptist Church, where she was a member of For His Glory Sunday School Class and Monday Morning Prayer Group. She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. Downey and Ora A. Sellers Downey; and brother, Ronnie Downey.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved husband, Alex Lowery; children, Lynn McKinley (Russell), Perry, David Lowery (Carolyn), Forsyth, and Johnny Lowery (Starla), Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Molly Farmer (Brandon), Mathew McKinley (Molly) and Benjamin Lowery; great-grandchildren, Sophia Farmer and Isabella Farmer; and sisters, Pat Hale, Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and Betty Miller, Mobile, Alabama.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Central Baptist Church, Dr. Owen Bozeman and Reverend Brandon Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Next Horizons Central Baptist Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
