Flint Energies Mourns Loss of Board Chairman

REYNOLDS/WARNER ROBINS/UPATOI – Flint Energies reports, with great sadness, the passing of William L. Brown, Chairman of the Board of Flint Energies. Brown passed away on Thursday, September 18th. Brown joined Flint Energies in 1986 when he was appointed to the Co-op Board to represent Area III, Post 1 – Macon, Dooly and Sumter counties. He was a farmer by trade and owner and operator of William Brown Farms of Montezuma. He had been farming since 1965. During his tenure with Flint Energies, he served as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, Secretary-Treasurer and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Spending countless hours championing rural electrification in Middle Georgia, Brown will be greatly missed at the Cooperative and in the counties he represented.

James L. Arflin

James L. Arflin, age 74, of 1030 Indian Boundary Road, Pinehurst, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Born in Unadilla, he was the son of the late Worth Arflin and Mildred Gignilliat Arflin. He retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Midway Independent Methodist Church. Mr.

Mitchell O. Daniels 1941-2013


MR. MITCHELL OLIVER DANIELS, age 71, of Warner Robins, GA, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00PM Thursday, March 21, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Daniel Cook and Mr. Lamar Coleman officiating.

Mr. Daniels was born in Dodge County, of the Baptist faith, and was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church.  He was a 22 year veteran of the Army National Guard, a retired 31 year employee of Warner Robins Air Force Base, and served as an accounts payable supervisor at Stuckeys, Inc.  He was son of the late Johnnie Bracewell Daniel and Aubrey “Perk” Daniel. 

Herman Crawford Tucker Sr.

Herman Crawford Tucker, Sr., 67, entered into rest on Thursday, February 21, 2013.

Herman was born on November 29, 1945 in Ocilla, Georgia. Mr. Tucker worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for The Bibb Company for over twenty years. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.

Capt. John T. "Jack" Rooney, USAF (Ret)

Jack Rooney, 77, entered into rest on Monday, December 10, 2012.

Jack was born on March 11, 1935 in Charlestown, Massachusetts to the late John T. Rooney and Teresa Collins Pollack. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years and went on to join the United States Air Force from which he retired as Captain in Warner Robins. Jack was of the Catholic faith.

Deborah Vredenburg

Deborah J. Vredenburg, 48, entered into rest on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

Mrs. Vredenburg was born on March 24, 1964 in France. She retired Civil Service from Robins Air Force Base.
