The Houston County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Sunday night after a car chase through Bibb and Houston counties.
Deputies arrested Brett Donald Justice, of Warner Robins, around 6 p.m. on charges of obstructing officers and traffic offenses, according to Houston County Sgt. James Middlebrooks.
The sheriff's office had been looking for Justice, who authorities consider a "person of interest" in two arson crimes, two burglaries, and as many as 20 car break-ins, since Thursday, Middlebrooks said.
He says Justice fled from Warner Robins police Sunday afternoon, when officers recognized him from a be-on-the-look-out, notice.
According to Middlebrooks, the car Justice was fleeing in crashed near Davis Drive and Highway 247. He says that's when Justice ran into nearby woods.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office, Warner Robins Police, and Georgia State Patrol assisted the search. Middlebrooks says GSP provided a helicopter to aid deputies.
Middlebrooks says law enforcement found Justice hours later near Feagin Road and the Highway 247 connector in Houston County.
