Houston Co. Fire Truck Pull Supports Special Olympics
News

Hundreds of people from central Georgia gathered in Houston County to do one thing: pull a fire truck. They came in teams to see who had the strength to pull the fire truck from a resting position 40 feet. The truck weighed over 15 tons.

The teams and spectators showed their support for the Houston County Special Olympics. The fire truck pull helped raise money for the winter olympic games later on this year, when the game return to Houston County after a ten year hiatus.

The City of Warner Robins, Flint Energies, and even 13WMAZ had a team there pulling the truck.

Houston County will host the Special Olympics' summer games at the end of March at Bonaire Middle School.

The regional summer games will take place in Atlanta in May.
