One Killed in Houston County Motorcycle Crash | News

Houston County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a Saturday evening accident that killed a 62-year-old Macon man at the intersection of Davis Drive and Highway 247.
According to a news release, Delmar Michael Singleton of Macon was on a 2012 Triumph Motorcycle when he was struck by 80-year-old James Leroy Edwards who failed to stop at the light.
Edwards's van pushed the motorcycle 363 feet down Highway 247, throwing Singleton from the bike and severely injuring him. He was transferred to the Houston Medical Center where he later died.
Edwards was also taken to the Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The Houston County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the case.
Charges are pending against Edwards.
