Former Probation Officer Faces Murder Charges

Former Warner Robins probation officer Russell Holt faces murder charges in the death of twenty-seven year old Jessica Wolfe.

Holt attended his first court appearance Thursday afternoon in a Houston County courtroom. Bibb County Judge Trip Self heard the case. Franklin Hogue is representing Holt.  Warner Robins Crime investigator, Meredith Edwards says there were several texts sent from Wolfe's phone right before her death indicating shew as scared for her life.

Edwards says furniture was broken and overturned in Holt's house.  She says Holt's story of an intruder striking him unconscious in the head does not match up, because there were no signs of an intrusion in the house, no marks or bruises on Holt, and the murder weapon was a "duty weapon" issued to Holt.

Wolfe died from a single gun shot wound to the chest on March 18th.  Wolfe and Holt were dating at the time of her murder.

Judge Self did not grant Holt bond.
