Probation Officer Charged With Killing Girlfriend | News
A 28-year-old Warner Robins probation officer faces a felony murder charge in the death of 27-year-old Jessica Wolfe of Bonaire.
Warner Robins police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh says around 2:30 Sunday morning police responded to a call about a woman not breathing in the 100-block of Ledford Way.
Pugh says when officers arrived they found Wolfe lying inside the home with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Pugh says Wolfe was pronounced dead on the scene.
She says Monday's autopsy showed that she died from a single gunshot wound.
After further investigation police arrested Russell Holt. Pugh says Holt faces felony murder and aggravated assault charges. Holt is being held in the Houston county Jail.
Pugh said Holt is a probation officer with a local agency, and the alleged killing happened at his house. She said Holt and Wolfe were dating.
Houston County District Attorney George Hartwig said Wolfe worked for about six years as an assistant in his probation office.
Hartwig says the Coweta District Attorney's office will prosecute the case to avoid conflict of interest.
