Warner Robins Police solve 27-year-old murder | News
Warner Robins police have announced a break in a 27-year-old murder case.
Stephen Gary Jones died of multiple gunshot wounds in 1987.
It happened at the Duck's Breath Bar and Lounge in Warner Robins.
Tuesday afternoon, Warner Robins police chief Brett Evans and Houston District Attorney George Hartwig announced a murder indictment in the case.
They said Willie Lewis Winters will be charged with felony murder and malice murder.
Winters is already serving a life sentence at Central State Prison for a 2004 murder in Crawford county.
