BREAKING: Charges filed in 1989 Warner Robins 'cold case'

Warner Robins police say they've brought charges in a 1989 'cold case' double-murder.

At a news conference, police Chief Brett Evans says two men were found murdered in a woodshed behind a home on Sunset Drive. James Runyon and Daniel Easler both died of multiple gunshot wounds

He said a grand jury today indicted James Milton Happoldt in the case.

Happoldt, who was born in 1953, is current serving a life sentence for a murder committed in Monroe County in 1994.

Evans and District Attorney George Hartwig made the announcement at a news conference today.

Evans called it a "great day" for the department.

He said Warner Robins Detective Brad Mules was assigned the 1989 case in February 2007.
