Warner Robins' Snellgrove Drive to reopen at noon Tuesday | News
The Warner Robins mayor said the road that goes to the Little League park would reopen by noon Tuesday.
Randy Toms says Little League officials closed Snellgrove Drive for more than two weeks.
Toms said Little League thought they had the right to do that, but did not. He said they're fully cooperating in getting it back open.
The road is a cut-through from Cohen Walker Drive to Hunt Road.
Toms said Little League closed it, because of problems with speeding, loitering and vandalism to some buildings - mostly graffiti.
He said Little League didn't file police reports on the problems, and tried to handle the issues on their own by closing the road at both ends with gates.
The gates are in place for the Southeastern Little League Tournament, held every July and August.
The mayor said he plans to work with council on some speed controls, as well as more police presence. Toms said he will talk with council about possibly lowering the speed limit or putting some rumble-strips in place.
