Robins, Central Ga. Leaders Sign Partnership Charter | News
Robins Air Force Base and community leaders signed a charter Wednesday to officially enter partnerships together, both in the private and public sector.
Community leaders from Warner Robins, Centerville, Perry, and Macon met with Robins leaders to sign the charter.
Colonel Patricia Ross, Vice Commander at Robins, said these partnerships can save thousands of dollars.
She added signing the charter makes the creation and promotion of these community partnerships a priority.
"The solidification of the partnership is so significant because we have the most senior leadership saying this is valuable, this is vital to the success of both RAFB and the surrounding community," said Colonel Ross.
Mayor Chuck Shaheen says something like this has never been done before.
"This is a landmark day. This is a tangible event that we have signed an agreement, the city of Warner Robins will work with Robins Air Force Base. It's always been a non-spoken, but now we are actually forming a committee a charter to be able to work closely with Robins and the needs that they have," said Shaheen.
