Some Affected By Furloughs Get Boost on Kids Yule Love List | News
Kids Yule Love is an organization that helps families in need. At Christmas time they provide gifts for kids ages 12 and under.
In less than a month they will start to accept applications and two groups of people will get a boost on that list. If you work at Robins Air Force Base or Bibb County Schools, have been furloughed and need help, Kids Yule Love encourages you to apply for holiday help.
Chris Allen, who helps organize the drive, was in Warner Robins Tuesday and said it's important to help the people who've always helped the organization themselves.
"The base is the backbone of Warner Robins and they've been a large contributor for kids yule love for so many years. The toy donations, the monetary donations come from the base, even the City of Warner Robins. And with that taken out of the economy for those furlough days, you know they're gonna need help this year themselves," said Allen.
Everyone in need can apply.
For those in Houston County you can visit the Warner Robins Recreation Center on Watson Boulevard. And in Bibb County the Bloomfield Rec Center off Rocky Creek Road. If you do not live in those counties and want to apply, you can call 478-741-3032.
