The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins is feeling the effects of the partial government shutdown.
Bob Dubiel, Director of marketing at the Museum of Aviation received notification from military officials Thursday that the doors were closing temporarily because the museum is housed in a government building at Robins Air Force Base.
The museum itself isn't funded by the federal government, however it's on Air Force property.
Col. Chris Hill with Robins Air Force Base says he was prepared for a lot of changes, but closing the museum was not
one of them.
"We are following DOD and Air Force direction and during this uncertain time the Air Force is only authorized to support and operate on going military operations and activities relating to the protection and safety of life and property," Hill said.
Hill said events scheduled outside including Friday night's Haunted Trail and Saturday's Car show will go on as scheduled.
