HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – Northside High School won first place at the State One-Act competition for 1AAAA schools with its performance of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The bid for State was held Nov. 5, 2011, at Veterans High School. This is Northside High’s sixteenth state championship in the one-act competition since 1978.
Director and drama teacher Brian Barnett said, “I was overwhelmed by the cast and crew’s performance on Saturday night. The energy they brought to that stage was just electric. They truly gave one hundred percent. I can’t imagine them having done any better, and the judges must have loved it just as much as I did – they all gave us perfect scores. That’s a first for me.”
