Happy 70th Birthday to Warner Robins
Happy 70th Birthday to Warner Robins!
On March 5, 1943, the state approved Warner Robins' incorporation as a city in Georgia.
Previously named Wellston for the man who ran the train depot, Warner Robins was then named for Brigadier General Augustine Warner Robins.
He actually never lived in Wellston or Warner Robins, but was a renowned World War I logistician.
Watch the video to see how illustrated plans proposed Wellston look.
To celebrate, the city has a Pioneer Breakfast planned for Wednesday, March 6 at 9 a.m. at the Wellston Center.
