13 Things To Do This Weekend | Families

It's the weekend before Christmas and all the creatures are stirring, even the mice. See what they're up to in our latest installment of 13 Things.

1. Friday night, head to the Grand Opera House for the Urban Nutcracker. Starts at 7 p.m.

2. Roberta native and rising popstar Meiko performs at Cox Capitol Theatre Saturday. Tickets are $10. Proceeds benefit Kade Howard, a 5-year-old boy who has brain cancer. Doors open at 7 p.m.

3. FVSU alum Shawty Slim, who is B.o.B's official tour DJ, and Macon's pioneering DJ Roger Riddle team up for the "No Requests...Anything Goes" party at The Rookery Saturday, 10 p.m. Admission is $5.

4. Shane Bridges performs at The Hummingbird, 10 p.m. Saturday.

5. An evening of poetry with Anya Silver and Kevin Cantwell. Saturday, 5:30 p.m. at the Sidney Lanier Cottage house on High Street.

6. Make reindeer food in preparation for Santa's visit (assuming you've been good). Combine oats with green and red sprinkles in a bag.  On Christmas Eve, sprinkle it on your lawn for the reindeer.

7.  Live nativity scene at Oakland Baptist Church in Warner Robins. 7-8 p.m. Sunday.

8. Second Annual Golf Cart Christmas Parade at the Christian Fellowship Church in Warner Robins. Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

9. Decades of Christmas at the Hay House

10. Mike Fuller's Magical Christmas Variety Show, Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Macon Little Thatre

11. See a movie. Click for show times.

12. Alan Walden and Chris Hicks 1st Annual Southern Style Jam at Cox Capitol Theatre on Friday. Doors open at 7 p.m. 

13. Pick one random act of kindness to spread the love this holiday season.
