Chamber’s Quarterly Forum Spotlights the Affordable Healthcare Act

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Affordable Healthcare Act is the topic of discussion at the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce’s September Business Forum; to be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Chamber (1228 Watson Blvd). 

Guest speaker for the forum will be Ryan Mahoney.  Mahoney serves as Vice President of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Center Competiveness, where he leads strategic development and execution of Chamber initiatives in education, health care, transportation and other areas.  Join us as Mahoney gives insight on the impact the Affordable Healthcare Act has on small business. 

The cost of the event is $12.00 for Chamber members and $25.00 for non-members.  To RSVP, please email the Chamber at rsvp@robinsregion.com by 12noon on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.  A lunch will be provided.

Chamber to Host Warner Robins Mayoral Forum for Candidates

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the 2013 Mayoral Forum for the City of Warner Robins.  The event will be held on Tuesday, September 10th from 6-7p.m. in the auditorium at the Warner Robins Campus of Central Georgia Technical College, located at 80 Cohen Walker Drive.

Qualifying Candidates for the 2013 Warner Robins Mayoral race include Mike Brashear, Chuck Chalk, Daron Lee, Joe Musselwhite and Randy Toms.

This event is designed to be an official platform in which the candidates vying for the seat as Mayor of Warner Robins can present their official platform as well as discuss issues of city-wide concern.  The program will feature brief remarks from candidates, followed by a moderated question-and-answer session.

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting for Vein Specialists of the South’s new location in Warner Robins, GA.

CGTC Reveals New Sports Logo

Central Georgia Technical College revealed their new sports logo after the merger of Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins and Central Georgia Technical College in Macon and Milledgeville.

The merger was official on July 1, according to a release.

Treat Yourself and the Children's Miracle Network

When you treat yourself to a Dairy Queen blizzard this Thursday, you're also treating the Children's Miracle Network.

Thursday marks Miracle Treat Day, a day where at least a dollar from every blizzard will go to Children's Miracle Network, according to a release.

Last year nationwide and in Canada, the fundraiser brought almost $5 million to Children's Miracle Network hospitals.

The Children's Hospital of the Medical Center of Central Georgia is a member of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
