Memorial Day Ride to Andersonville

Memorial Day Motorcycle Ride to Andersonville, Hosted by US Military Vets Motorcycle Club (rain or shine). 

This is a free event and ride.

Lunch at 11:00, Kickstands up at 1:00. Follow us back to the US Military Vets Clubhouse, 201 Wyler Ave., Warner Robins, GA (behind Marble Masters on N. Davis Drive) for food, spirits, and entertainment.

Live band begins at 5:00.

"Economic Impact of Robins Air Force Base on the Robins Region”

Economic Impact of Robins Air Force Base is the topic of the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce’s June Business Forum; to be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Chamber of Commerce.

 

This month’s forum will highlight the Economic Impact of Robins Air Force Base & What it Means To You.  Guest speaker will be Kim L. Lynn, Director of Plans and Programs, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB.  Lynn’s office serves as the Center Commander’s “action officer” for providing mission planning to include new mission development, depot maintenance partnering, development and deployment of common Center-wide strategic focus areas, expert acquisition and sustainment process knowledge, transformation and change management, intelligence support to the Center and associate units, and other special projects.

 

Graduation Schedules, Expectations & Parking

The Houston County Board of Education 2011 graduation ceremonies will be May 27 and 28, 2011.  All five ceremonies will be held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry in the Miller-Murphy-Howard Building.  Approximately 1,670 students will graduate. 

Expectations: 

Guests are asked to help ensure that the ceremonies are dignified and enjoyable for all concerned.  Seniors, their families and friends should show respect for all graduates both before and after receiving diplomas.  The time for jubilant celebration is after the ceremony when students can enjoy the company of their families and friends.

Join the Robins Regional Chamber for SPEED NETWORKING

The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a Speed Networking event, sponsored by Cumulus Broadcasting, on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11:30 a.m.

Speed Networking is a structured effective and powerful event that’s fun and friendly and will provide new and established Chamber members the opportunity to meet industry related peers, business contacts & referrals in a pleasant environment. 

The Speed Networking event includes a boxed lunch, followed by structured and timed meetings designed to afford participants maximum exposure in a short amount of time.  Participants are encouraged to bring a stack of business cards and other paraphernalia to share and exchange with others.

Legislative Delegates to Attend 10th Annual Houston-Peach County Legislative Appreciation

 

HOUSTON COUNTY, GA- The Peach County, Perry Area & Robins Regional Chambers of Commerce will jointly host an informal reception for the 2011 Houston & Peach County Legislative Delegation on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. at the Go Fish Education Center, located at 1255 Perry Parkway in Perry, GA.  

Honored delegates include:  Senator Ross Tolleson (20), Senator Cecil Staton (18), Senator Robert Brown (26), Representative Larry O’Neal (146), Representative Willie Talton (145) and Representative Buddy Harden (147) from Houston County; as well as Senator George Hooks (14), Representative Robert Dickey (136) and Representative James Lynmore (135) from Peach County.
