Chamber to host Warner Robins Mayoral debate, featuring Musselwhite and Toms

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the 2013 Mayoral Debate for the City of Warner Robins.  The event will be held next Thursday, November 21st from 6-7p.m. in the auditorium at the Warner Robins Campus of Central Georgia Technical College, located at 80 Cohen Walker Drive.

Featured Candidates for the 2013 Warner Robins Debate include Joe Musselwhite and Randy Toms.

This event is designed to be an official platform in which the candidates vying for the seat as Mayor of Warner Robins can present their platforms and discuss issues of city-wide concern.  The program will feature brief remarks from candidates, followed by a moderated debate.

Chamber Hosted a Ribbon Cutting for Douglas C. Duncan Enterprises, LLC

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Douglas C. Duncan Enterprises, LLC.

“I buy, sell, and lease real estate,” said Douglas Duncan, owner.  “However, my main focus is to become an asset to the City of Warner Robins with the intention to house orphan children, the mentally ill, the homeless and the elderly.

Douglas says he would like to contribute to the well-being of the community through youth, housing and outreach projects.

Middle GA State College to Host World Language Day And Competition

Middle GA State College to Host World Language Day And Competition

Area high school students are invited to World Language Day and Competition November 8 from 8 am-2:30 pm at the Macon Campus of Middle Georgia State College.  The event is hosted by MGSC's foreign languages faculty.   A news release from the school says students can enter one or more of the following competitions for prizes including a $1,000 scholarship to MGSC.

The competitions are: Creative Poetry, Poster Board, or Video Commercial.  As part of non-competition activities, students are welcomed to showcase cultural dances, sing songs, or play instruments during the day.  For specific guidlines on the competitions or for more information please email Dr. Sabrina Wengier, assistant professor of French, sabrina.wegnier@maconstate.edu

Chamber Welcomes the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia with a Ribbon Cutting

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia.

Located at 116 Wallace Drive in Sewell Circle Park, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia serve over 2500 children and youth annually in three dedicated club sites and two school locations.

The recent move to a larger facility in Sewell Park has allowed BGCCG to double their capacity for service to Warner Robins’ youth.  

“We serve the whole child through 5 key program areas,” said Cathy Snook, VP of Development.  “Education and Career, Sports and Recreation, Health and Wellness, The Arts, and Character and Leadership.”

“We are thrilled for the amazing support we’ve received from the Chamber, the City of Warner Robins and the entire Community,” said BGCCG CEO, Lee Wagner.

National Celebrities to Headline the Robins Regional Chamber's 56th Annual Christmas Parade

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber is pleased to announce that the 56th Annual Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013.  Featured as Grand Marshal this year will be NBC’s Today Show Weatherman, Al Roker and his wife, ABC News Network Correspondent, Deborah Roberts.  The duo will be featured on the very first parade unit, which is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Houston Road and Watson Blvd.
