HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – Scotty Kent, Warner Robins High School ninth-grader, recently competed in the FFA Reporter’s Book Leadership competition.  He was the Central Region 3 winner and qualified to compete at state.

Scotty serves as the Warner Robins High FFA Chapter Reporter.  He is pictured with his project and ribbons.

The Reporter’s Leadership Award showcases a book that highlights published materials to chronicle the chapter's yearly activities.  The reporter is responsible for news and feature articles.  He also keeps an up-to-date scrapbook showing articles in the sequence of their publication.  During FFA week, the Warner Robins High FFA chapter was covered by The Telegraph, 13WMAZ and WRWR TV-38.  With the circulation and broadcaster viewers of these three media, the school’s FFA news reached an estimated 350,000+ people.

FFA is a national organization of more than 449,000 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.  An integral part of the agricultural education program in public schools, the FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.

Warner Robins High School is located at 401 South Davis Drive in Warner Robins.  Steve Monday serves as principal.  For more information, please contact Veronica Sanders, FFA advisor, at Veronica.Sanders@hcbe.net.
