Warner Robins Shooting Victim Identified | Crime
Houston County's coroner has identified the man who died after being shot in his home Tuesday.
He is 47-year-old Willie Johnson of Warner Robins, according to coroner Danny Galpin.
Police say he was shot in the upper leg around 3:20 p.m. at his home on Demetree Drive. He was pronounced dead at Houston Medical Center.
Police are investigating this as a homicide.
Around 6 p.m., police were still on the scene at 122 Demetree Drive. That's off North Davis Drive.
A woman who said she lived at that address says her husband was shot in their living room by a home invader.
She said he knocked the shooter to the floor and chased him outside. The shooter and another man drove off in gray Dodge Charger.
The woman said Johnson ran out and hit the car before collapsing.
The woman said her husband was 47 years old and they moved from Hawkinsville about four years ago.
