Two Accused Of Trying To Rob Pizza Man | Crime
Houston County sheriff's deputies arrested two men Monday for allegedly attempting to rob a pizza delivery person last week.
According to a news release, Adrian DeShawn Simmons, 22, and a 16-year-old juvenile are accused of trying to robbed a man who was delivering for Marco's Pizza at about 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Woolfolk Road last Thursday.
The victim said he slowed down to locate an address when he was confronted by the suspects, according to the release.
The driver quickly drove away when one of the suspects fired multiple shots, striking his vehicle, the sheriff department says.
The victim was not injured.
Simmons was charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He is being held at the Houston County jail.
The juvenile was charged with aggravated assault and criminal attempt to commit armed robbery. He is being held in the juvenile detention center.
Investigators have recovered the firearm and other evidence in the case, the news release says.
