Arrest of 4th Person in Houston Double Homicide Investigation | Crime
Houston County Sheriff's Capt. Jon Holland confirmed Friday morning a fourth arrest in connection with the double homicide that happened this week.
19-year-old Amy Patricia Walker was charged Thursday afternoon with tampering with evidence and concealing the death of a person, according to the Houston County detention website.
Holland told 13WMAZ that Walker has been taken into custody after evidence determined she had a connection to the murders of two men.
The bodies of 30-year-old Shaland McConnell and 32-year old Ruben Miranda, both from Jonesboro, were found early Monday in a wooded area.
Already in custody and charged with murder are; 19-year-old Thomas A. Kelley of Byron, 21-year-old Coleman L. Crouch of Warner Robins and 20-year-old Justice B. Evans of Macon.
Evans and Coleman were also charged with tampering with evidence and concealing the death of someone.
Earlier this week, Holland said a man came into the sheriff's office early Monday morning and he was nervous and scared.
"The man told deputies they needed to visit a home on Chadwick Road because someone there had been shot and evidence was being cleaned up," Holland said.
While they were there they found evidence of shots being fired inside the home.
The bodies were found around noon Monday.
Holland indicated his investigators believe the two were killed between 8:00 p.m. and midnight Sunday.
Autopsies were performed Tuesday.
