A Macon man was arrested after police say he tried to kidnap a woman at a Warner Robins business last week.
Warner Robins police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh says 27-year-old William Carpenter walked into the Master Cleaners on Russell Parkway with a gun last Thursday.
Pugh says Carpenter walked up to a female worker, threatened her with the gun, and demanded that she get into his car.
When she refused, Pugh says, Carpenter left in a dark-colored SUV.
The woman was not injured.
Carpenter was arrested and charged with criminal attempt-kidnapping, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
He's being held at the Houston County jail.
