6,095 Calls For Service In March Our call volume was up 400 calls for service from February.  Here's a quick look at some of the calls we responded to in March:

WRPD to host Virtual Ride Along

You are invited to patrol the streets with an officer from the Warner Robins Police Department -- via Twitter!

The Warner Robins Police Department is hosting a Virtual Ride Along via Twitter on Wednesday, March 19th from 6:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M. 

Public Information Officer Tabitha Clark will be riding with an officer and tweeting calls for service, arrests, and anything else the officer encounters during his shift.  Some tweets will include pictures and videos.

The Virtual Ride Along is designed to give the community a glimpse into the daily life of a police officer patrolling the streets of Warner Robins.  Citizens can view the ride along by following @WarnerRobinsPD on Twitter.

Man sentenced for hitting firefighter on I-475

Man sentenced for hitting firefighter on I-475

A Warner Robins man who drove into a firefighter responding to a call on Interstate 475 was sentenced to 12 months' probation today.

Nayef Al Shroof pleaded guilty Monday in Bibb County Superior Court to violating the state's move-over law.

Two other charges against him, causing serious injury and reckless driving, were dropped as part of the plea agreement.
That's according to Assistant District Attorney John Regan.

'Hit man' suspected in Houston County killing

A Houston County investigator says it's "very likely" the alleged trigger-man in a January murder killed the wrong man.

Capt. Jon Holland of the sheriff's department says Kerry Glenn was shot to death outside his uncle's home Jan. 14.

We ended last month with an increase in calls for service from the previous month.  Here's a look at some of the calls we answered in December.

Missing child found safe in Perry

Missing child found safe in Perry

A Florida woman who reportedly kidnapped her own daughter from Florida and drove her to Central Georgia is in the Houston County jail this afternoon.

Charity Chatman was arrested Sunday night on a warrant accusing her of interfering with custody.

An Amber Alert went out this weekend for 6-year-old Onnika Fisher of Jacksonville.

She went missing on Friday.

But the Amber Alert was lifted overnight, after the GBI reported that she was safe.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Department says the mother and daughter were located during a traffic stop in Perry, around 11:30 p.m.
