Robins Financial Volunteers with Ronald McDonald

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union recently partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia by making a $4,000 donation to the Ronald McDonald House’s 365 Day Society. A contribution of $1,000 to the 365 Day Society covers the operating cost of the home for one day.

In addition to their monetary donation, Robins Financial staff volunteered to help at the house for two work days. Robins Financial volunteers worked in four different shifts over a two-day period. Projects included cleaning the kitchen, organizing the pantry, house cleaning, administrative items and sorting donation coins.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia provides support services for families with critically ill or injured children being treated in area medical facilities. In addition to housing, the families are provided meals and an opportunity to connect with other families facing similar difficult situations.

Robins Financial Credit Union Supports Our Troops This Holiday Season

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union employees created care packages for deployed troops stationed overseas during the holidays. The packages contained personal care items and snack foods.

Robins Financial employees are proud to support deployed troops and have participated in this project for several years. It is a way of saying thank you for all of their dedication and sacrifice, especially during the holiday season.

Community Shreds and Recycles Over 7 Tons of Sensitive Documents

Warner Robins, GA — Central Georgia residents recently shredded 15,000 pounds, or 7.5 tons, of documents containing sensitive material at Robins Financial Credit Union’s popular Shred Day events.

Two Shred Day events were held at Robins Financial Credit Union’s Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins and Log Cabin Drive branch in Macon.

Shred Day is a semiannual event with a dual purpose - to protect the Middle Georgia community from identity theft and to protect the environment. Members of the community are invited to shred personal information, including financial records, receipts and prescriptions. All shredded documents are then recycled.

Robins Financial Credit Union Will Open New Branch in Dublin

Dublin, GA – On Thursday, October 13th, Robins Financial Credit Union held a groundbreaking for their newest branch location located in Dublin, Georgia. The branch will be located on Hillcrest Parkway. This will be a full service location offering a 24-hour ATM, drive thru, deposit and loan services, mortgage services, and business services. This branch will be the 20th location for Robins Financial Credit Union.

“Our goal is to be able to better serve new and current members. We are excited to have a location in Dublin and look forward to continuing to help the residents of Laurens County and surrounding areas meet their financial needs,” said John Rhea, President/CEO for Robins Financial Credit Union

The branch is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2017.

Macon, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union is proud to sponsor Team 4941 RoboBibb by contributing $1,000 to FIRST Robotics. They are comprised of school students from all Bibb County high schools and they come together to learn, build and compete. These students gain hands on experience in STEM fields.

Each year the students design, build and test their robot within a six-week time period. The robot created this year had challenge requirements to include traversing over rough ground and rocky terrain, opening gates and passing through the opened gates, picking up a soccer sized foam ball and shooting the ball into a goal, and traveling under a lowered goal. Team 4941 developed a robot with a drive train that combined six oversized wheels, a device that is a combination ball grabber and shooter, as well as an onboard camera for navigation.

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union recently sponsored Robins Regional Chamber Community Partners by contributing $7,000 to the Robins Air Force Base Thunder Over Georgia Air Show.

The air show will take place from Saturday, October 1st through Sunday, October 2nd.
