Robins Financial Credit Union Brightens the Holidays for Meals on Wheels Recipients

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union employees recently donated over 60 Christmas gifts for elderly and disabled Central Georgia residents.

Robins Financial employees created Christmas gift boxes for donations to the Meals on Wheels of Houston County’s “Shoeboxes for the Elderly” program. The packages contained a variety of items from candy and games to personal care items. These items will be delivered to Meals on Wheels recipients along with a hot meal on Christmas day. 

Robins Financial Credit Union is a local non-profit financial cooperative with nineteen branches in central Georgia. Robins Financial currently provides financial services to over 174,000 members, with assets exceeding $2.2 billion. Membership is open to anyone who lives in the 21 counties Robins Financial serves. 

Robins Financial Credit Union’s 25 Days of Holiday Giving

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union will be giving back to the community during the holidays with their 25 Days of Holiday Giving. They selected 25 different organizations throughout their county radius to provide a monetary donation to help the organizations with their holiday festivities. The following organizations received a donation during the third week:

· Hephzibah Children’s Home in Macon received a $1,000 donation. This organization serves the needs of children who are homeless, orphaned, abused and neglected.

· Perry Volunteer Outreach in Perry received a $1,000 donation. This organization has a toy program as well as provides food boxes.

· Abilities Discovered in Warner Robins received a $500 donation. This organization strives to enhance the lives of people with disabilities.

Robins Financial Credit Union Supports Toys for Tots

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union recently partnered with the Georgia State Patrol for a toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots.

Approximately 200 toys were collected at Robins Financial Credit Union locations across Central Georgia during the months of November and December. The toys were donated to Toys for Tots and will be given to needy children who would not otherwise have Christmas gifts.

· Kids Yule Love in Macon received a $1,000 donation. This organization provides toys to children during the holidays.

· Salvation Army in Warner Robins received a $500 donation. This organization works to fight hunger and poverty in the community.

· Feed Center Outreach Ministry in Ft. Valley received a $500 donation. This organization sponsors meal donations to families in need.

· Senior Center in Gray received a $500 donation. This organization assists the elderly and homebound residents.

The following organizations received a donation during the first week:

· Macon Outreach in Macon received a $1,000 donation. This organization addresses the needs of those living in poverty by providing food and clothing assistance.

· Food Pantry in Warner Robins received a $500 donation. This organization provides food assistance.

· Monroe County Family Connection in Forsyth received a $500 donation. This organization will deliver stockings to children in the community. 

Robins Financial Credit Union Helps Feed the Hungry

Macon, GA —Robins Financial Credit Union recently contributed $2,000 to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank.

“Due to this donation, the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank will be able to provide close to 16,000 meals. We are striving to not only feed the line but shorten it as well. We will be able to purchase more nutritious foods so individuals can choose to have healthier and productive lives,” said Doug Rohme, Executive Director for Middle Georgia Community Food Bank.

Since 1981, Middle Georgia Community Food Bank has solicited, transported, sorted, stored, and distributed millions of pounds of food every year to the needy, hungry, and homeless in Middle Georgia through its participating nonprofit agencies in 24 counties of Middle Georgia. Robins Financial Credit Union Participates in a Community Project

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union recently contributed over $82,000 to five organizations as part of their annual Community Project. Organizations are selected by a Board Committee based on their reputation and the work they do for the community.

Robins Financial is committed to the communities they serve and give back whenever possible. This funding from this year’s Community Project will fill a specific need for the selected organizations as follows:

Family Promise helps homeless families by partnering with social service agencies in order to help these families obtain an independent, self-sustainable livelihood. They received a total of $7,000 to assist with the replacement of computers and office furniture.
