"Butterflies are Free" is a comedy by Leonard Gershe and published by Samuel French, Inc. and directed by Katie Manning.

Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces
Winners from its 2010 Christmas Parade

 The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the float winners of the 53rd Annual Robins Regional Chamber Christmas Parade. 

The winners are as follows:  Best Religious Float- Sacred Heart School; Best Civic Float- Den 2 Tiger Sharks Pack 422; Best Business (+25) Float- Elberta Healthcare; Best Business (-25) Float- West Plumbing; Best Miscellaneous Float- Perdue Primary Prancing Pandas; Best Leased Float- Flint Energies; and Best Marching Unit- Northside High School Blue Wind Band.

Local Bank Sponsors Toys for Tots Drive

Robins Federal Credit Union is currently collecting donations for Toys for Tots at branches in the following counties - Baldwin, Bibb, Clarke, Houston, Jones, Monroe and Peach.

Unwrapped toys for children ages birth-14 may be dropped off at these branch locations between now and Dec. 15.

Family to Family Food Drive : Day 7 of 13 Days of Giving

 

One of the most well known holiday songs states, "It's the most wonderful time of the year," and it is for some families.  But for others this holiday season has been reduced to one simple choice - food and shelter, or gifts for their families. 

This year the First Sergeants at Robins Air Force Base have identified seventy-five military families, including approximately two-hundred children, who don't have enough resources to provide food and gifts for their families. 

You can help by donating canned goods (see list below) or make a monetary donation which will help purchase turkeys, hams, and other perishable items. 

Made 2B More Hosts Coat Drive

Made 2B More Hosts Coat Drive

Made 2B More is collecting clean, reusable coats for individuals in Houston County.

Donators can drop off coats Tuesdays through Thursdays 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-12 p.m. through Dec. 17.

According to the organization's website, Made 2B More is the opportunity girls need that will empower them with healthy self-esteem and instill strong values so that they can grow up to achieve their dreams and be more. Just a girl? She is more than just a girl. She is made to be more.

Coats can be delivered to the Made 2B More Office at 736 Carroll St Suite 6 (Village Shops) in Perry.

Black and White Gala

A White and Black Gala fundraiser will take place Friday, Dec. 10 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.at the Galleria Ballroom in Centerville.

The fundraiser will go toward helping high school athletes raise their SAT, ACT, high school graduation test scores, pass the GED and to teach successful life skills.

Peach State Rattlers, Inc. will pay college students to tutor the athletes that will be playing for the Peach State Rattlers,Inc, a Minor League Pro Football team that's coming to Central Ga.
