Rev-Up for Little Ones Motorcycle Charity Ride Set | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The 2nd Annual Rev-Up for Little Ones Motorcycle Charity Ride will be held May 7 at the Flint Energies office at 900 GA Hwy 96 in Warner Robins.
“Rev-up and ride in support of local children in need of a bright Christmas, and enjoy a fun ride through the beautiful Middle Georgia area with stops in Byron, Montezuma and Hawkinsville,” said organizer and Flint employee Ed Hawkins.” This motorcycle ride raises funds for Linemen for Little Ones and Food for the Needy and is the first community-involved fundraiser for these charities. More than $25,000 has been raised through internal fundraisers since the start of the toy charity in 2006.”
Linemen for Little Ones and Food for the Needy benefits disadvantaged families at Christmas. Flint Energies employees developed these charities out of concern for those they serve. Food boxes and toys are donated to internally selected families in need each December.
More than 50 families have been given a brighter Christmas since the toy charity began four years ago. Each year, more than 30 families are given food boxes totaling countless families who have benefited from Food for the Needy since the food charity began more than 30 years ago.
“Join the new fundraising effort by riding in the Rev-Up for Little Ones event,” said Hawkins.
