Twenty-nine students from the Mossy Creek Middle School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competed at the Region Leadership Conference this month.  First through fifth place winners were awarded a ribbon.  Mossy Creek FBLA was awarded 23 top five ribbons.

FBLA adviser Robin Fobbus accompanied the members.  During the conference, students were treated to an inspiring opening session and an awards ceremony for all their hard work at business and computer skills competition.  The awards ceremony was followed by a lunch and Bingo for Babies to raise money for the March of Dimes.  

The award-winners and categories are named below. 

«  1st place, Business Computations – Nivedha Soundappan, 8th grade;

«  1st place, Business Spelling – Aiza Aslam, 8th grade;

«  1st place, FBLA Creed – Keerti Soundappan, 6th grade;

«  1st place, Computer Concepts - Tucker Bryant, 7th grade;

«  1st place, Internet Concepts – Kaylee Nisperos, 8th grade;

«  2nd place, Business Computations - Ciara Plumley, 8th grade;

«  2nd place, Business Spelling - Nivedha Soundappan, 8th grade;

«  2nd place, Computer Concepts - Hunter Germundsen, 8th grade;

«  2nd place, Internet Concepts - Andy Davis, 7th grade;

«  2nd place, Introduction to Business Communication - Presley Dagley, 8th grade;

«  2nd place, Public Speaking – Hope Williams, 8th grade;

«  3rd place, Business Computations – Hope Williams, 8th grade;

«  3rd place, Business Concepts – Aiza Aslam, 8th grade;

«  3rd place, Business Spelling – Amanda Wilkins, 8th grade;

«  3rd place, Internet Concepts - Hunter Germundsen, 8th grade;

«  3rd place, Parliamentary Procedure Concepts – Jackson Smith, 6th grade;

«  4th place, Business Concepts - Aniya Sconiers, 8th grade;

«  4th place, Computer Concepts - Megan Eader, 8th grade;

«  4th place, Introduction to Business Communication – Tamar Morfoot, 8th grade;

«  4th place, Marketing Concepts – Allan Lee, 7th grade;

«  5th place, Computer Concepts – Andy Davis, 7th grade;

«  5th place, Internet Concepts – Tucker Bryant, 7th grade; and

«  5th place, Introduction to Business Communication – Alli Williams, 8th grade.
