'Out of Darkness' Walk Returns to Wellston Park | Community Spirit
The Out of Darkness walk returns to Wellston Park in Warner Robins for suicide prevention awareness.
It's a national time for understanding of suicide and prevention through research, education and advocacy, according to a release.
The walk is on Sunday, October 20 with registration at 1 p.m. at the Kimberly Dr. entrance and sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Twenty five butterflies will be released at 12:30 p.m. in the park's pavilion in honor of all those who have been lost to suicide. The butterfly release is sponsored by Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System.
To have a butterfly released in a loved one’s name, call 478-297-1137 and all names will be accepted until last the butterfly is spoken for at the event.
