Premier Paint & Body Named  Small Business of the Month

The Small Business of the Month Committee of the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce presented Premier Paint & Body, located at 105 Knodishall Drive, with the Small Business of the Month Award for February 2011.

Owned by Jason & Tarah Faiella, Premier Paint & Body Shop is a full service collision repair facility.

“Even with the strain of the down economy, Premier has managed to exceed expectations,” said customer, Mike Hogan.  “Their shop, without a cushion of working capital investment, has achieved and maintained the highest quality of service for our community without cutting corners.”

Chamber and City Officials Welcome Happy Hour’s Exceptional Mail & More

The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce along with Warner Robins city officials, including Mayor Chuck Shaheen, welcomed Exceptional Mail & More, a Division of Hour Service Center. 

A ribbon Cutting ceremony was held at its location at 202 North Davis Drive, on Wednesday, March 16, 2011.

During the calendar year 2009, the United States Post Office announced that the unit operating at 200 North Davis Drive would be closing its doors in February 2010.  This unit had been providing mail service to the citizens on the north side of Houston County for over 50 years.  Through some negotiation with Mayor Chuck Shaheen and Congressman Jim Marshall, the Post Office agreed to remain open for 1 year and would close February 2011.

The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting for Joseph Rosbury- Edward Jones Investments on Tuesday, March 15, 2011.

Located in a brand new space at 4993 Russell Parkway, Suite 500, Joseph Rosbury- Edward Jones Investments has been in business for 2 years.

Chamber Honors Judith McCune as Outstanding Employee

The Robins Regional Chamber’s Small Business of the Month Committee presented Judith McCune, Dance Instructor for Academy of Dance, with the Outstanding Employee Award for the month of February 2011.  

Judith McCune, affectionately known as Miss Judy, was once the owner and director at the Academy of Dance.  She has mentored many young Warner Robins women throughout her nearly 30 year tenure at the Academy.

“She was not just a teacher,” says current Director, Kim Rowley.  “But she is a mother and now grandmother figure who goes beyond her position of teacher and still supports the Academy with fundraisers, seamstress duties, office work, as backstage manager during shows and as prop maker; refusing to take payment for many of the things she loves to do.”

HoCo Habitat for Humanity Receives Bank of America Grant

HoCo Habitat for Humanity Receives Bank of America Grant

WARNER ROBINS, GA., March 10, 2011 – The Bank of America Charitable Foundation awarded Houston County Habitat for Humanity a $5,000 grant.  Houston County Habitat will use the funds to partner with low-income families in Houston County to construct simple, decent, and affordable homes.

 This is the first time the Bank of America Charitable Foundation has awarded a grant to HoCo Habitat.

 “We are honored to know Bank of America has faith in our ability to meet a critical need in our community.” said Tom Prior HoCo Habitat Executive Director, “We are excited about building a strong relationship with Bank of America to deliver affordable housing.”  In making the presentation, Valerie Halsey, Branch Manager of the Centerville branch observed, “We know that the economic and social health of the communities we serve are an integral part of our long-term success.”
