WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Business of the Year Award, along with several other prestigious awards will be presented at the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 64th Annual Meeting; to be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Warner Robins.  Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for a social period with heavy hors d’oeuvres and the program will begin at 6:45 p.m.

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber’s Business of the Month Committee presented Karla Smart, RN, Asst. Nurse Manager for Caring Solutions Pregnancy Center with the Outstanding Employee Award for November 2013.  Potential winner must be employed by a member of the Robins Regional Chamber, offers quality customer service and is dedicated to his employer.  The award presentation is sponsored by Spherion Staffing Services of Middle Georgia.

Karla is a 20-year labor/delivery veteran nurse who has chosen to work for Caring Solutions, a non-profit organization, to provide excellent care to their unique clients.

“Karla could work anywhere in Houston county and make 4 times what we are able to pay her,” said Laura Caum, Director for Caring Solutions’ Warner Robins office.  “Instead she has a heart and mind for our work in crisis pregnancy.”

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Business of the Month Committee of the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce presented Total Computer Solutions, located at 353 Robins West Pkwy, with the November Business of the Month (BOM) Award. Potential winner must be a chamber member in good standing, actively involved in the Robins Regional Chamber, possess great customer service, products and services, advocate for business in the Robins Region and have a proven history of voluntary efforts and endeavors to support the business and local community.  The award presentation was sponsored by Ambassador Personnel.

Total Computer Solutions has provided consultative and information technology services to small and medium businesses in Middle Georgia since opening in 1987.   By providing an effective and efficient computer system, TCS has helped many new businesses become successful and existing businesses grow.  

WRHS student to march in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

WRHS student to march in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

ATLANTA (AP) - Seven Georgia high school students have been chosen to travel to New York to march in the famous Thanksgiving parade sponsored by Macy's.

The students will be among the 185 musicians in the Great American Marching Band in the 87th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Macy's says the Great American Marching Band has honored the country's finest high school musicians since 2006.

The band is comprised of students from all 50 states and is directed by Auburn University's Richard Good and assistant director, Barry Houser, from the University of Illinois.

One student was selected from each of the following Georgia high schools: Buford High School, Columbus High School, Dalton High School, Forsyth Central High School, Starr's Mill High School, Troup County Comprehensive High School, and Warner Robins High School.

National Celebrities to Headline the Robins Regional Chamber's 56th Annual Christmas Parade

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Regional Chamber is pleased to announce that the 56th Annual Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013.  Featured as Grand Marshal this year will be NBC’s Today Show Weatherman, Al Roker and his wife, ABC News Network Correspondent, Deborah Roberts.  The duo will be featured on the very first parade unit, which is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Houston Road and Watson Blvd.

Chamber Honors WR Wrecker Services, Inc. As September Business of the Month

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Business of the Month Committee of the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce presented Warner Robins Wrecker Services, Inc., located at 640 Elberta Road, with the September Business of the Month (BOM) Award, sponsored by Ambassador Personnel.  Owned by the Guest family, WR Wrecker Services has been in operation for 44 years.

Upon experiencing roadside service from the business, Chamber President Morgan Law explained about his experience with Warner Robins Wrecker Services, Inc.
 

“Recently, my daughter's car suffered a breakdown on Interstate 475 and we had to call for assistance,” said Law.  “We called WR Wrecker Service and they were terrific.  They immediately sent a truck to rescue my daughter and I from the side of the highway.”

Law says that the driver was professional and considerate in helping to calm down an upset teenage driver during her first experience with car trouble on the road.
