Chamber Week 2013 a Big Success

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The 2nd Annual Chamber Week (May 13-17), hosted by the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce was a huge success.  The week featured an array of the Chamber’s signature events and kicked off with a bang! For the second year in a row, all three mayors from the Robins Region- Warner Robins Mayor, Chuck Shaheen; Centerville Mayor, John Harley; and Perry Mayor, Jimmy Faircloth, as well as Houston County Commission Chairman Tommy Stalnaker- gave an official proclamation for the 2013 Chamber Week on Monday.

The week also showcased the Robins Regional Business Forum, which provided members with information about counterfeit money, areas of fraud and computer crimes in businesses; an Eggs & Issues breakfast featuring the Robins Regional Legislative Delegation;  a check presentation from the Robins Regional Educational Foundation to the Middle Georgia Technical College Foundation for their Adult Literacy and GED programs; and the Annual Super Business After Hours: Robins Regional Food Fest & Business Expo.  The week culminated with the 23rd Annual Business on the Greens Chamber Golf Classic last Friday. Over 100 golfers participated in the tournament and the winners are as follows:  5th Place: Jordan, Lester, Blackmon and Slade; 4th Place: Collins, Coody, Register and Smith; 3rd Place: Freeman, Loewen, Langevin and Weigle; 2nd Place: Carr, Allen and Malcom; and 1st Place: Rood, Muckenfuss, Hill and Eckman.  Men’s Close-up was won by Bruce Hullett.
