Chamber Week Starts in One Week

WARNER ROBINS, GA- The Robins Region is anticipating an exciting time as the Robins Regional Chamber hosts the very first Chamber Week (May 14- 18, 2012); a brand new initiative which showcases the role that the Chamber plays in the community by focusing on leadership development, community and government advocacy, education and networking.

Each day during Chamber Week, a signature event will spotlight one of the active committees of the Chamber and provide outstanding networking and educational opportunities.  The week starts with Leadership Development.  The Chamber will partner with various educational institutions to remind students they can be leaders at any age in a variety of areas.  The second day features Business Development through the Robins Regional Business Forum.  The Chamber will host Bill Verner, Vice President of External Affairs for Georgia EMC, to present information on grassroots lobbying at 12noon at the Chamber.  Lunch will be provided.  On Wednesday, May 16th, Government Relations will take center stage as the Chamber hosts Eggs & Issues featuring the regional legislators.  They will offer an update on how state government is working to enhance the Robins Region.  Eggs & Issues will be held at 8:00 a.m. at the Museum of Aviation in Hangar One.

Bring colleagues and friends and join the Chamber for the annual Super Business After Hours & Business Expo!  Held on the fourth day of this fast-paced week, this fun event allows businesses in the Robins Region to showcase their products and services.  Guests will also enjoy the opportunity to sample great food from many of the local member restaurants at the Robins Regional Food Festival, which will be held in conjunction with the Expo from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17th at Museum of Aviation – Century of Flight Hangar.  Finally, on Friday, May 18th, end the week with the timeless Chamber tradition, Business on the Greens: Chamber Golf Tournament.  Take part in this exciting day of networking and fun while learning more about other business leaders in the community.  The tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. at The Landings Golf Club.

May is also Membership Month for the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Members are encouraged to share their stories of success with the Robins Regional Chamber with prospective and new members.
