Publix Super Markets Charities awarded a $7,500 grant to Houston County Habitat for Humanity.

Houston County Habitat will use these funds to partner with low-income families in Houston County to construct simple, decent, and affordable homes, a Houston County Habitat for Humanity press release says.

Publix Super Markets Charities is a long-term Habitat supporter.  Since 2003 Publix Charities has awarded HoCo Habitat nine annual grants totaling $43,500.

“We appreciate the sustained support from Publix Charities,” said Tom Prior HoCo Habitat Executive Director, “There are many hard-working people employed in low-wage, but very essential jobs who cannot afford decent housing for their family.  Grants like this are vital in our effort to deliver affordable housing to fill that gap.”
