Like your music live and kicking but don't have room or money for a full band? Consider Scott Dotson Band - a WR local musician to play your upcoming venue - conferences, wedding receptions, patio parties, indoor/outdoor dining venues, Christmas parties, birthday parties...anniversaries...what's your occasion? SDB sets up with a small footprint, quick setup/takedown, full band sound yet with ability to control volume at requested comfort level in any venue. My rate is $60/hr with a $120 minimum. NOTE: Venue rate varies depending on # musicians involved...explanation follows :)

Scott Dotson Band (SDB) is all about family, friends, & enjoying singing and playing music. On occasion I involve my teenage sons on bass and drums when they aren't too busy with homework, working, hunting, fishing, or texting girlfriends to practice for a gig ;) and we form up as "3D". On other occasions I form up as "Scott Dotson and Friends"  and offer a full band if requested - the rate for the gig goes up proportionately with the number of musicians involved. SDB can be 5 (drums, bass,

keys, 2 guitars), 4 (drums, bass, two guitars), 3 (drums, bass, guitar), 2 piece (me and and a buddy on saxophone with laptop backing track rhythm section), or just myself and laptop and vocal harmony machine ($120.00min). For the latter (me only) - all guitar and vocal work is live. For SDB full band variants - everything is live - no laptop.

SDB was launched in Feb 2010 after extended storage of guitar in closets. I bought a Taylor 614 for Christmas in 2009 and fell in love with playing guitar all over again ;) I've enjoyed playing picnics, patio parties, and wedding reception venues in WR and surrounding counties this year. SDB regularly plays picnics, retirements and Christmas parties on Robins AFB. Private venues, patio parties, wedding receptions, conferences, picnics, you bring the food and people - I'll bring the sound system and music!
