How To Organize Your Cords and Cables

How To Organize Your Cords and Cables

In today’s digital age, we have so many cords. We have headphones, charging cords and connector cables.  It is so easy for them to become a big, jumbled mess. What can you do to keep the chaos to a minimum?

Label the Cables

So many of our cables look alike but are used for only one type of device. By labeling your cords you can make that tangle of wires a little less confusing. I like to use my label maker to make the tags but you could do it with masking tape or even duct tape.

Robins Financial Credit Union Sponsors RoboBibb

Macon, GA — Robins Financial Credit Union is proud to sponsor Team 4941 RoboBibb by contributing $1,000 to FIRST Robotics. They are comprised of school students from all Bibb County high schools and they come together to learn, build and compete. These students gain hands on experience in STEM fields.

Each year the students design, build and test their robot within a six-week time period. The robot created this year had challenge requirements to include traversing over rough ground and rocky terrain, opening gates and passing through the opened gates, picking up a soccer sized foam ball and shooting the ball into a goal, and traveling under a lowered goal. Team 4941 developed a robot with a drive train that combined six oversized wheels, a device that is a combination ball grabber and shooter, as well as an onboard camera for navigation.

How To Make A 72 Hour Emergency Kit

How To Make A 72 Hour Emergency Kit

September is National Emergency Preparedness month.  One of the items that the emergency preparedness experts suggest you have is a 72 Hour Kit. FEMA recommends that each household puts together a disaster supply kit that “is simply a collection of basic items your household may need in the event of an emergency.”

A 72 Hour Kit is enough food, water and supplies to last your family for 3 days in the case of an emergency.  We aren’t talking about being a “prepper” but having just enough of the basic essentials to get you through until the electricity comes back on or someone can reach your home to evacuate you.

Why Fall Is A Great Time to Get Organized

Why Fall Is A Great Time to Get Organized

January and the beginning of summer are usually the times of year when people declare “I am going to get organized.” But this isn’t always the best time for organizing. In January you spend a lot of your brain space trying to just write the new year on your checks. In the summer, despite your good intentions, you really just want to take the kids to the pool and read the latest juicy novel.

In the Fall, vacations are over, the kids are back in school and you are probably ready for the cooler weather. Fall is the perfect time to declutter and organize your house so you can enjoy it more when you are shut in over the cold winter months.
