Community Shreds and Recycles Over 7 Tons of Sensitive Documents

Warner Robins, GA — Central Georgia residents recently shredded 15,000 pounds, or 7.5 tons, of documents containing sensitive material at Robins Financial Credit Union’s popular Shred Day events.

Two Shred Day events were held at Robins Financial Credit Union’s Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins and Log Cabin Drive branch in Macon.

Shred Day is a semiannual event with a dual purpose - to protect the Middle Georgia community from identity theft and to protect the environment. Members of the community are invited to shred personal information, including financial records, receipts and prescriptions. All shredded documents are then recycled.

Robins Financial Credit Union is a local non-profit financial cooperative with nineteen branches in central Georgia. Robins Financial currently provides financial services to over 173,000 members, with assets exceeding $2.2 billion.

How To Organize Your Cords and Cables

How To Organize Your Cords and Cables

In today’s digital age, we have so many cords. We have headphones, charging cords and connector cables.  It is so easy for them to become a big, jumbled mess. What can you do to keep the chaos to a minimum?

Label the Cables

So many of our cables look alike but are used for only one type of device. By labeling your cords you can make that tangle of wires a little less confusing. I like to use my label maker to make the tags but you could do it with masking tape or even duct tape.
