A Warner Robins mother is celebrating a $200,000 Powerball win.
Sherry Mauldin won the prize by matching the first five winning numbers in the Feb. 12 drawing, a Georgia Lottery news release says.
Mauldin discovered her win on the Georgia Lottery website and immediately shared the news with her husband, Steven.
“He thought I was just playing until I turned white,” said Mauldin, an account executive with a telecommunications company.
Mauldin and her husband plan to pay bills and share the prize with their five children.
“I think we’re going on a cruise to the Bahamas this year,” she added. “We’ve been before, but we’ll make this one extra special.”
Winning numbers from the Feb. 12 drawing were: 11-32-36-48-52 and the Powerball was 19.
Publix Super Market on 1114 Ga. Highway 96 in Kathleen, sold the lucky Quik Pik ticket.
Proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
