Organizing for Back to School: The Academic Planner

Organizing for Back to School: The Academic Planner

If you have a middle schooler or a high schooler, there is one school supply that is essential for keeping them organized this school year…a good academic planner. Without a planner the only real way your child has to keep of other assignments and due dates is in his or her head. We all know that method rarely works out well.

If you have an elementary school student, it’s never to early to start teaching them how to use a planner. My kids’ elementary school gave planners (they called them agendas) to every student and it was a great way for the parents to know what was coming up in school and to communicate with the teachers.

When I organize and scan client’s precious family photos, they are often letting me into the most intimate moments of their lives, including random shots of husbands napping in their undies and children running around in the sprinklers in their birthday suits.

As a Certified Personal Photo Organizer, I’m going to tell you the cold hard truth. The answer is no.

In your treasure trove of photos you probably have numerous:

I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time in my car; driving to work, hauling the kids around, running errands, and so on and so forth.  For me having a clean, organized car makes it all just little less stressful.

School will be back in session before we know it. Taking time to create some organizational systems and to do a little prep work can make back-to-school a little less stressful for the kids and for the parents.
